Sue Hinton

Associate Director

I’ve been blessed with the best job in the world!  I get to see miracles everyday!  But it didn’t start out that way.  I grew up in NJ with my three sisters; we were raised by our mom and dad.  I had a good life but made some bad choices.  Eventually, the Walter Hoving Home found me in LA County Jail in 1989.  It seems like a lifetime ago, and in some ways it was.  Because of God’s love my life has completely changed.

I was once addicted to drugs, hopeless and a mess.  God used a long, and I mean a long, stay at the Walter Hoving Home to change my life.  That’s where I learned to believe in Jesus, trust in His Word and rely on the Holy Spirit.

I got married in 1993 to a wonderful Christian man, Robby Hinton, a graduate of Teen Challenge.  We served as House Parents, moved to the East Coast, had wonderful times and tough times too, until God used my challenges to lead us back to Walter Hoving Home.

Today I have the privilege to serve as the Associate Director of the Home.  I started working here in 1998, and I thank God everyday for all He has given us.

Jesus has the power of God, by which he has given us everything we need to live and to serve God.  (2 Peter 1:3)

Every day is filled with the abundant new life promised in His word.  Come and experience all God is doing here at the Walter Hoving Home.  I hope to see you soon!
