NY – Penny completes the program

Today was a great day as we witnessed the completion of Penny (left in photo) from our 1-year program! This was a special completion because we, as a ministry have been praying for Penny for over 30 years. Elsie, known as “Mom B” met her in prison over 30 years ago. She visited and ministered to her all these years. Last year when she was paroled she entered the program. And it has been amazing to watch God work in her life. She is in our Emerging Leader program and will continue her leadership training as our Intake Coordinator over the next few months. Penny is an inspiration to us all! She was abused by her mother as a child and put into foster care at the age of 7. Life was a mess for her and she ended up in prison. But God has stepped in and  change her life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

Thank you for all you do in helping us in helping women find new hope in Christ.

What a victory!! I remember praying for Penny for years when I worked at the Home. It was such a joy to meet Penny several months ago, and even greater joy to see Penny complete. What a great spirit she has! The Lord is faithful!
