Deborah Young

Vice President / Director

She is the mother of a 28 year old daughter obtaining her Masters in teaching and a 20 year old son in the Navy. When Debbie was growing up, she moved around constantly and was never able to establish positive and lasting relationships.  She was sexually abused by her biker father and eventually rebelled, turning to a life of drug addiction for over 14 years.  After losing everything and spending time in jail, she asked God to make Himself real to her.  She read one of 40 books that John Benton, the President, wrote, which are dispersed in the jails.  It was called “Debbie,” and the Lord was speaking!  Debbie found Jesus at the Walter Hoving Home in Pasadena almost 8 years ago and her life began to change.  She understood that Jesus was the only one who could fill that void.  Healing and restoration took place in her family, and soon she found herself ministering to others.  “I’ve gone through my experiences to be able to reach other ladies and let them see Jesus shine through.  Only my Lord could open the door for jail ministry and to Him I give Glory!”

1 Corinthians 5:17 says. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, she is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.”
